Lifetime Careers provides career guidance services in Brent and Harrow as part of the Connexions London West partnership. We offer free help to young people who are setting out in their careers. Services are funded by central government and delivered to government standards. We offer:
Lifetime Careers works in partnership with schools, colleges, employers, training providers and parents in order to ensure that the help offered is relevant and effective. Extra help is targeted at those who are having most difficulty making progress.
If you are a student at school or college, speak to your teacher, lecturer or careers co-ordinator about how to make best use of career guidance services. If you 13-19 contact us at your local connexions centre. If you are a parent or guardian, do contact us if you are concerned about your child's career development.
We hold information about occupations and routes into them. The information is accurate and unbiased. We undertake to answer all queries, no matter how basic or unusual. Our information materials promote equality of opportunity. We supply information via schools, colleges and training providers, directly to visitors, and in response to telephone and email enquiries.
Our professionally qualified staff provide impartial advice about how to plan your career and how to make it happen. Effective career plans will be based on your interests, capabilities, preferences, circumstances and opportunities. If you need careers guidance, your personal adviser will spend some time getting to know you, before helping you to make decisions and put them into effect.
Even when you know what you want to do, it can be difficult to get started. Our staff can help you to apply for a place on a course, a training opportunity or a job with training. We have information about what is available locally and throughout London. We can help you to make the most of yourself in applications.
